The free music studio is on a by-appointment basis, with the goals of: teaching youth how to use music software (mixing, mastering), and recording their music, poetry, and other personal projects. On a drop-in basis, teens can use musical instruments for practice and jam sessions.

In 2013, J2K opened a music program, full of instruments and software.
J2K also offers regular workshops on a variety of topics, including legal rights, art, and sex education. At J2K, youth can be themselves: chill, play sports, cook, play video games, watch movies, or sing and rap in our music studio – all free of charge. Jeunesse 2000 is a home away from home for teens 12-17 years old, offering a non-judgmental and welcoming drop-in centre that caters to their interests and needs. J2K creates space for storytelling, for skills-building, and for youth to access education pertinent to them outside of a formal educational system.īy creating a space by and for young people, J2K attempts to foster solidarity between participants without expectations, and empower them in their own decision making, their own desires, and their potential. J2K breaks isolation by providing a space for marginalised youth to connect and build community through music, art, and sports programming. Jeunesse 2000 (J2K) envisions a world in which youth and teens are comfortable in their own skin, enjoying their lives with their peers, and are confidently able to adapt to the ever-changing realities of growing up in a culture where not everything is clearly laid out.
